The WeihnachtsZauber Gendarmenmarkt 2025 awaits you from 24 November to 31 December at the Gendarmenmarkt, located between the German and French cathedrals and the Konzerthaus in the centre of Berlin.
2. What are the opening hours?
Our market welcomes you from 11 am to 10 pm, on Fridays and Saturdays even until 11 pm and on New Year's Eve we celebrate until 00:00 pm.
3. How do I reach the market by public transport?
You can use the underground lines U5 and U6 (Unter den Linden stop), bus 100 or 300 (Staatsoper stop) or the underground line U2 (Hausvogteiplatz stop) and bus 147 (Werderscher Markt stop).
4. Are there parking facilities nearby?
The underground parking garage at the Staatsoper is available in the immediate vicinity. Access is via Behrenstraße.
5. May I bring my dog with me?
In principle, dogs are not allowed, with the exception of necessary assistance dogs such as guide dogs. Please carry appropriate identification for this purpose.
6. What am I not allowed to bring to the market?
Please refrain from bringing racist, xenophobic or radical propaganda material, weapons of any kind, pyrotechnic objects, containers made of fragile or splintering material, as well as food and drinks, animals (with the exception of guide dogs), and backpacks or bags with more than 15 liters of content onto the premises. Furthermore, recording devices for sound or image for the purpose of commercial use are also not allowed without prior permission from us.
7. How big can my backpack be?
Backpacks and bags may have a maximum capacity of 30 liters or the size of a DIN A4 sheet of paper.
8. Is there a luggage storage?
We ask for your understanding that there is no luggage storage available.
9. Do I have to pay admission?
Yes, except on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., when admission is free (except 24./25./26.12.). Children under 12 and people with disabilities are always admitted free of charge.
10. How is the entrance fee used?
With the entrance fee you support the artistic program of the event, social projects in the district of Berlin Mitte, the summer camp with 30 children of the Anna Lindh School, the decoration of the Christmas Market and contribute to your own safety during your stay.
11. Can I pay by debit card or digitally?
Yes, payment by card is possible, but a fee may apply. We recommend that you always ask before making a purchase. Not every exhibitor accepts cashless payment.

13. Are there group rates?
No, we do not currently offer special group rates.
14. How can I purchase tickets for a group?
Larger number of tickets can also be purchased through our online shop. You will receive the tickets as individual PDF files.
